Description
Every autumn, our Pinot Blanc in the Siefersheimer Heerkretz is full of beautiful grapes with clear minerality and great fruit. We have also hand-selected these grapes for maturation as a single-vineyard wine in barriques. This year, after 9 months of ripening, a typical Pinot Blanc was created for the first time, elegant and fruity, but with a slight spiciness from the wood aromas.
Bright, floral nose with notes of mandarin peel, broom, white plums and mirabelles. Then some summer herbs and some smoke reveal the barrique. In the mouth, vanilla, nutty and delicately smoky wood notes are found in the compact and firm structure. In the tidy finish, there is clear spice and good substance, which will not lose its tension with maturity.
