Description
Red wine is made by hand. Pre-harvest, hand harvest, destemming, juice extraction, maceration, battonage. The result: gentle tannin structure, strong color, dense aroma. This is true for any grape variety, but may produce exceptional results depending on the site, weather and microclimate. With Regent on the Golden Horn, of course, even more so, finds the jury of the falstaff PiWi Trophy:
“On the nose: plum, blackberry and elderberry, also black pepper and almost a chilli-like component. On the palate, the wine flows very round, filled with fine-grained, dense, ripe tannin, the fruit is closed but hints at its potency, the acidity remains rather restrained, the structural length is excellent – and so is the outlook on the ageing potential. And the wine has mineral undertones!”

92 points at the PiWi Trophy
A few weeks later, the tasting in the PiWi Wine Award International confirmed that this is not a unique opinion: 93 points.
What the two juries did not know, of course, is that the Teamwork R not only stands out positively in the mouth, but also stands out on the wine shelf. Together with @theartofpau, we have ensured that the sustainable grape variety finally gets the attention it deserves.
