For us, wine is not special if it simply tastes good. Wine is an expression of joie de vivre when its aroma, taste and mouthfeel are finely tuned to each other; when it is good for you – today and tomorrow; when it is good for the people who produce it for you and good for the ecosystem in which the grapes grow for you.

Wine experience is special when you are a guest with friends. For us, true enjoyment is created when artistic compositions, sustainability, humanity and hospitality come together.

That‘s why we are proud to work towards precisely this goal: creative, sustainable, transparent wines for people who love wine and appreciate the craft behind it.

We are continuously improving the interplay between economy, ecology and social responsibility with specific measures in the following areas:

– Reduction of CO2 emissions

In concrete terms, this means that we reduce the use of plant protection products to a minimum with modern technology such as weather stations and AI-based susceptibility forecasts, avoid the use of herbicides and artificial fertilizer thanks to biodiverse vineyards, regional seeds and our Ouessant sheep, and rely on traditional best practices and materials before considering the use of energy-intensive measures.

Even with small measures, such as the purchase of 100% green electricity, the CO2-neutral hosting of this website or the use of surplus rainwater to irrigate our vineyards, we try to make a contribution to ensuring that there will still be ecologically and economically sustainable food and great wines tomorrow.

With our membership of Fair’n Green e.V., we have committed ourselves to taking the issues of ecological, social and economic sustainability seriously and to constantly improving ourselves in the future. With our certification from 2023, you can also be sure that we stand behind these values.

We are a proud member of this relatively new association, which takes a holistic approach to sustainability rather than limiting it to a single topic. We are actively involved in various projects to drive this movement forward.
