Riesling and Helles. We share a passion for experimental but finely tuned drinks with our friend Matthias from bierfabrik hoehn in Herzogenaurach, a small microbrewery. We have been tinkering with this joint project for a while, which was first realized in a small batch in the summer of 2023 and met with a very positive response. One year later, the time has come and we can present you with an amazingly harmonious hybrid drink that is a little like cider, a little like wine, but above all like good craft beer with a long and fruity finish.
The spicy, hoppy nose first hints at Matthias’ brewing skills, only then does the Riesling fruit reveal itself. In the mouth, the fine perlage and foam formation are impressive, in a mixture of secco and beer. Then, depending on the drinking temperature and time in the glass, citrus and hop notes predominate, which are carried into a long finish by typical Riesling notes such as apple and lime.
Fine Helles from the hoehn beer factory and high-quality Riesling with a slight residual sweetness, clear and long-lasting, filled in a 0.75 l bottle of sparkling wine with a crown cap to enjoy together in a convivial atmosphere.
