Description
In the Solera system, we only fill a very limited number of bottles in each vintage – and the remaining barrique with the current vintage.
The result is complex wines that are both typical of the site across all vintages, as well as complex and with a more balanced maturity.
This combination particularly suits the Silvaner from Martinsberg. Distinctive woody and slightly smoky as well as nutty notes, but also some fruity and tart, almost fresh aromas are consistent on the tongue and palate. The overall composition hardly fits into any sommelier’s pigeonhole, but is balanced, very exciting, extremely complex and still has special ageing potential in the bottle.
