Description
Anyone who likes Pinot Grigio will love this Grauburgunder. Of course, this is done authentically late at night, lamenting loudly in the village square or with a family portion of mushroom risotto and sounds of Laura Pausini from the kitchen radio. But the nose of almond, pineapple and a whole bag of sultanas reveals that something is different here than with the Italian relatives and also the Gebert Grauburgunders of past years. With less opulence and no wood influence, the estate wine shows a lean foot, drinking pleasure, refreshing yet not too intrusive acidity, plenty of fruit and a finish that screams: I am a proud Grauburgunder!
The southern sociability, we think, suits our estate wine very well, though.
Try 2022 for fuller body and 2021 for fruit and liveliness.
