Description
The 2019 Riesling semi-dry flows clear in pale yellow-green into the glass. The first nose reveals delicate notes of flint and yeast. After swirling, one finds peach stone and exotic fruits in the form of grapefruit. With plenty of air also ripe Boskoop apples and blond tobacco.
In the mouth the Riesling Kabi is semi-dry refreshing, at the beginning even with very delicate mousseux. The body is medium-strong and characterized by a wonderful fruit sweetness that dances with the delicate acidity and the distinctive minerality. The 11.5 percent by volume have a perfectly integrated effect and give a subtle pressure on the palate. A candied pineapple, crunchy Granny Smith apples and freshly picked vineyard peaches come to mind.
The structure of filigree acidity, very subtle bitterness and very clear minerality is convincing. The finish is long and marked by aromas of grapefruit, damp stones, blond tobacco and hay.
The Riesling Kabi from 2019 is consistently harmonious, animating and thus very typical.
Best served at 10-12 °C in a small white wine glass from now until 2025.
